this summer I repeated an exercise I did a long time ago where I did “a painting” every day outside all summer. That year I did 26. This year I did 60. Each was 9”x12” on paper in mixed Media- crayons, watercolor, markers, pigments, and ink. This is a short movie of all of them. If you want to see more of my art it is available at my website at http://rickhoffmanart.com

In the summer of 1971 I created one small multimedia piece for 26 days in July and August outside in my backyard. Each is on an 8”x10” construction paper. They are all done in pastels, ink, ebony pencil, dyes, metallic pens acrylic and gauche. Accomplishing this disciplined a body of more or less traditional painted work was very rewarding ….I decided to repeat the exercise again in 2010 - forty years later. This time they will be 9”x12”. Same media as above. I completed 63 this time. They are titled by date. this one is May 10th, 2010. The first 21 are up on my website http://rickhoffmanart.com/painting10.htm. I will post the others here.
